This is a very cool piece of history. This is a World War I model 1877 one liter canteen. Its made of tin-plated steel. It is missing its blue wool cover and its sling. The small side would of has a wood stopper as the larger spout would of had a cork. But both are missing. But just mentioned so you'd know what would of been on this canteen. All in all this is a cool looking piece. And in the bottom it looks to have some holes in it from rust. But the tin other than the holes is in great shape. You can just tell that this was defiantly used.
