This is a wonderful looking piece! This is an original Civil War soldier's hat. It is the kept style. It has some wear from the years of use. It has the original tarred brim and tarred leather chin strap intact and complete. The buttons are the correct Civil War eagle buttons. The inside of the hat is worn shape. It has the correct original leather sweat band present. The linen lining is present.
