Beautiful Dug Union Eagle Sword Belt Plate

This is an attractive excavated Civil War eagle sword belt buckle. This is the style that was worn on the sword belt of many Civil War officers. It has the beautiful spread wing pattern eagle in the center of the buckle. The eagle has the ribbon coming from her beak that reads the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The silver wreath is missing but displays very well
