This is a very nice Civil War Louisiana Confederate Belt Buckle. There will be no need to ever upgrade after you buy this buckle. It is the die stamped style, with a lead filled back. As you can see this style is not in the books. Which is a little more rare to own. The brass laps over the lead in the back. Which you can see in the pictures. The patina is correct the lead is correct and the Brass hooks are original. This buckle as you can see is in good shape with just the right amount of wear to it so you can tell it probably seen some war time.
