This seems to me to be made from tusk or a bone. Its a rather large pipe stem and all is 12 inches long. As you can see the stem has a break in it. but still is held together by the spring on the inside. Great looking Civil war period pipe That the soldier carved the words EPLURIBUS UNUM. Along with the eagle.

I received the CS buckle the other day and I am very pleased with it. It was exactly as you described, even better. It has been a pleasure to do business with you and I look forward to future purchases as I know I can buy with confidence.
