Joslyn Model 1862 Carbine

This is a nice Joslyn Model 1862 Carbine. It works very crisply in both positions. It has a dark brown walnut stock that looks like its been used. It has the initials on the side of stock AR. The Joslyn Carbine was issued to many different regiments like the 4th and 8th Indiana; 19th New York;13th Tennessee; 9th Pennsylvania; 3rd West Virginia; 2nd Wisconsin; 1st Nebraska;1st Nevada and 11th Ohio. Well used gun. The serial numbers match 1698 on the breech. The lockplate has the Joslyn Fire Arms Co Stonington Conn. Along with the top of the breechlock that is stamped Joslyn's Patent/October 8th 1861/June 24th 1862.
