This is a fine looking non-excavated belt buckle on the original belt. This is the classic style that was worn by the regular fighting men of the Civil War. It has a vividly clear "US" on the face of the buckle. This is the version that is the early pattern construction. This one is in very nice shape all the way around. It has all three of the original hooks intact on the reverse of the plate along with superb lead. The belt is pretty with an untouched look all over and is the early pattern with the leather belt length adjuster. This is a great looking non-excavated U.S. soldierâ€â„¢s belt buckle on the original leather belt.
