This is a fine excavated belt buckle. This is the classic style that was worn by the regular fighting men of the Civil War. This is the version that has the arrow style belt attachment hooks on the reverse. This one still has all three of the original hooks intact and in fine shape. This one is in nice excavated condition. It has the majority of the original lead. The brass face of the plate has a crystal clear and bold "US" lettering. Looks like it has a few diggers dings. but displays very well.
