Ames Short Artillery Sword 1855
Item #: CS530
Resembling a Roman gladiator sword, this U.S. Ames Model 1832 short sword has a 19 inch long blade with a ricasso marked "US/ADK" over the date "1855" and the obverse marked "AMES MFG CO/CHICOPEE." The blade has two fullers with the ricasso on and single fuller towards the tip. The brass grip is standard with cast fish scales and an eagle on the pommel. The cross guard is marked "A.D.K./RKKW". This sword is missing the scabbard. But displays very well.
