Major William A. Anderson July 24th 1863
Item #: CS180
This is a nice letter written in ink. It was written on July 24th 1863, I have put a picture of the translated letter. It was written by Major William A. Anderson to Miss Mary A Hine in New Haven, Conn shortly after the Battle of Gettysburg. But one great thing is that it mentions Maj. General Butler passing by Williams door as he is writing this letter. I have put other pictures with information of gen Butler so you can know why this letter is worth what it is. But the letter is talking about a visit he is going to make to Miss Mary Hine. So please take time and read it.
